UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated, part-time Studio and Field Production Video Intern to join Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT for the Spring semester. The intern will:
- Learn how lecture videos are developed, recorded, edited, delivered, and provided to students.
- Get a 360-degree understanding of how a professional studio is built and operated from the perspective of the people behind the cameras.
- Learn how a field video is shot on UF campus.
- Get a better understanding of how video and audio is handled in an outdoor environment.
- Learn how to use digital cameras, lavalier mics, teleprompters, VR/AR/MR, 360 cameras, video capture software, and what it takes to become a video star on campus.
The key learning outcomes for the student intern are:
- To be able to discuss the UFIT strategic goals and how they relate to our work
- Understand how UFIT is organized and how we help others to obtain technical information
- To gain a complete understanding of how a professional video studio is built
- To understand signal flow of complex video capture systems
- To better understand the studio/client relationship
- To understand how a field production is developed, from idea to delivery
- To learn the responsibility of the client’s needs and produce the quality results they seek
