Join the University of Florida's Veterinary Team as a Veterinary Hospital Supervisor!

Are you passionate about veterinary medicine and leadership? The University of Florida (UF), a top-ranked institution with a reputation for excellence, is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Supervisor to lead and develop our Primary Care and Dentistry Service and our Veterinary Community Outreach Program. In this role you will be working alongside skilled veterinary nursing staff while utilizing your technical skills and leadership to provide excellent patient care.

About the Role:

As a Veterinary Hospital Supervisor, you will work closely with our managers and doctors to provide high-quality nursing care while leading and mentoring the nursing team. This position will primarily work alongside nursing staff while supervising daily operations, overseeing staff training, and ensuring smooth and efficient hospital workflows. Our Primary Care and Dentistry service offers general practice patient care, surgery, and specialized dental care. Our Veterinary Community Outreach program centers around providing medical care and surgery to shelter and rescue animals.

 

Key Responsibilities includes staff development, operational oversight including scheduling, recruitment and training, providing quality veterinary care, and collaborating and communicating across a large specialty hospital.

Schedule & Additional Details

  • Full-time, benefited position – Includes UF’s comprehensive benefits package

Expected Salary:

$26-$30, dependent on credentials and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
  • Supervisory/Leadership Experiencr
  • Anesthesia Experience
