Join the College of Medicine’s Office of Admissions as an Admissions Officer I, supporting recruitment, applications, interviews, and matriculation. As a key point of contact for applicants, you’ll engage with prospective students and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure a seamless admissions process. Admissions Support & Applicant Engagement
- Serve as a primary contact for applicants, prospective students, parents, and advisors via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Schedule counseling appointments for admissions leadership.
- Advise non-traditional and non-UF applicants on admissions policies.
- Generate admissions data reports for Educational Affairs.
Interview & Admissions Process Coordination
- Verify interviewee eligibility and ensure compliance with matriculation requirements.
- Assist with interview days, including tech support for in-person and Zoom interviews.
- Manage the interview committee's online voting process and maintain voting records.
- Support recruitment efforts by attending virtual and in-person fairs.
- Maintain and update COM Admissions websites and collaborate on social media content.
Event & Office Operations
- Oversee the admissions tour program, including guide recruitment and scheduling.
- Assist in planning major admissions events (Second Look, MFOS Dinner, Interview Kickoff).
- Provide support for the AMP application system, liaising with vendors and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage office operations, including mail processing, supply inventory, and travel preparation.
- Offer occasional support to other Educational Affairs offices as needed.

- Exceptional customer service and communications (written and verbally)
- Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to critically assess information.
- Experience with higher education, particularly in admission, registration and/or student records.
- Desire for continuous professional growth.
- Proven ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including applicants, students, coworkers, faculty, and university offices.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, and effective time management & prioritization skills.
- Experience in maintaining records in a database format.
