Job Description: |

Develop a detailed and comprehensive budget for the yearly 5 million dollar Early Intervention Grant. Obtain approval from state sponsors and UF Management. Monitor expenses throughout the year. Take corrective actions and revise budget as needed. Communicate budget revisions with both internal and external parties.

Enter award into the UF UFIRST system. Coordinate with DSP and Contracts & Grants staff. Monitor grant and create modifications as needed.

Create a detailed monthly invoice to draw down the Grant. Communicate with DOH and UF Management regarding the invoice.

Develop a detailed UFJPI yearly budget for the Division. This budget is separate and distinct from the EI Grant and includes portions of the Early Intervention Grant, third party reimbursement and the Newborn Hearing Screening Program. Monitor expenses throughout the year. Take corrective actions as needed. Communicate with UF and UFJPI Management as needed.

Oversee Third Party Reimbursement by monitoring internal billing results and trends. Coordinate corrective actions with Division Management.

Oversee accounting and payment to community providers and program vendors. Ensure providers are paid within established deadlines.

Ensure EI payments to providers are in accordance with the payor of last resort policies. Oversee approvals for coverage by Part C funds. This includes a working knowledge of the Medicaid System and insurance Explanation of Benefit statements.

Develop Quarterly Reports for submission to the state DOH and UF Contracts & Grants. Coordinate results with UF and UFJPI Management.

Support UF response to State and Federal Audits. Coordinate support with UF Audit Staff and Program Management.

Coordinate issues with various staff including UF Management, Contracts & Grants, UF Audit, DSP, Legal and DOH.

Participate in the planning and administration of the Department.

May supervise staff of Fiscal Assistants and Administrative Specialist.

Expected Salary: |
$61,000 to $71,000 annually depending on education and experience.
|
Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
- A master's degree or CPA preferred or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or health administration.
- Five years progressively responsible fiscal management experience, including budget/forecasting and accounting systems.
- Some supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability in application of organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
