Job Description:

Project Team Participation & System Integration:

•Serve as a project team member or lead small to moderately sized application teams in developing and supporting software solutions for clinical, educational, and research initiatives.
•Plan, coordinate, and prioritize activities under the oversight of senior team members or supervisors.
•Act as a liaison between hardware/software vendors, staff, and faculty to ensure systems are properly procured and integrated into the UF Health environment.
•Ensure systems meet customer needs while complying with UF Health’s hardware, network, and security requirements.
•Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify and implement technical solutions that enhance efficiency and patient care.
•Maintain support documentation.

Software Development & Support:

•Design, implement, upgrade, and support software programs and applications.
•Configure, code, develop, and document software specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
•Complete assigned projects and tasks accurately and on time.
•Provide initial support for service requests, escalating issues as necessary.
•Work collaboratively with other IT teams to plan, monitor, secure, and maintain hardware and software.

Reporting & Customer Engagement:

•Provide summary reports to management on projects and support issues.
•Represent the UF Health Information Technology department in customer meetings.
•Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, along with logical problem-solving abilities.

Training & Professional Development:

•Receive coaching, training, and mentorship from team members and supervisors.

Expected Salary:

$54,000 - $58,000

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred

Experience working in a customer service environment.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Knowledge of applications, project management, database, networking, or web technology.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not required.
• Ability to determine project requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot application and integration problems and devise appropriate resolutions.
• Ability to evaluate workflows and strategies to maximize efficiency.
• Able to participate in system implementation and changes in a positive way that encourages active faculty and staff involvement.
