Custodial Worker II – Hastings Agricultural Extension Center (HAEC) Part-time - 13 hours a week

The University of Florida's Hastings Agricultural Extension Center (HAEC) is seeking a hardworking and reliable Custodial Worker II to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and values the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a professional setting.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of building interiors and exteriors. Duties include servicing and restocking restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors, dusting furniture and fixtures, emptying trash, and cleaning windows and glass surfaces. You’ll also respond to spills and other hazards using appropriate equipment to ensure safety.

The role requires proper use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. You’ll mix and apply cleaning solutions according to guidelines and operate tools such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners. Part of your responsibilities will also include moving furniture or supplies as needed and cleaning debris from sidewalks and entryways.

Additionally, you’ll assist with monitoring the condition of the facilities by reporting any issues that require repairs and keeping inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure stock is always available.
