Job Description:

The Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to assist with projects focused on embedded learning supports for young children birth to age 3 receiving early intervention, practitioner and caregiver coaching, and effective professional development. This individual will work under the supervision of project Principal Investigators other project team members and will collaborate with project staff to carry out all sponsored-project related activities. This position requires ongoing and effective communication with faculty and staff as well as other community partners of the Anita Zucker Center. The position is grant-funded and time-limited.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the Principal Investigators and other personnel, support project-related professional development and technical assistance activities.
    • Support the development of professional development and intervention materials for professionals working with young children birth to age 5 and their families.
    • Observe early intervention providers and coaches and record implementation of key practices they are using.
    • Collaborate with project personnel to provide training and technical assistance to early intervention coaches.
  • Coordinate project activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigators
    Among these functions are:
    • Assist with data collection, data processing, and data entry activities
    • Assist with data analysis activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to Anita Zucker Center operations

This position requires flexibility and will require travel. Travel activities will include trips to counties throughout the state of Florida.

Expected Salary:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires a valid Florida driver’s license 

Preferred:
  •  Master’s degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology or a related field.
  • Knowledge and practice developing and delivering professional development to professionals serving children birth through age 5 or their caregivers.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills .
  • Demonstrated strength in organization and efficiency meeting deadlines
.
  • Experience collecting qualitative or quantitative data.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative or quantitative data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; REDCap; and applications for developing online professional development materials or video editing.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
