OPS Research Assistant

The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery, is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) research assistant who will be performing a variety of duties for multiple research studies related to the area of vascular surgery. Patient contact is required during the course of duties. Minimum 1 year commitment required. Pre-professional school students (e.g., gap year with plans to apply to medical school or other graduate school) are welcome and will have the opportunity for scientific presentations and publications.

Key Functions:

• Collect and analyze data received directly from patients and respective clinical charts
• Screening, consenting, and enrolling patients into multiple studies
• Ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to
• Create and write research proposals, abstracts, and papers for presentation
• Other duties as assigned.

$15-$17/hour; based on education and/or experience.

• Bachelor's degree
• Comfortable in hospital and laboratory setting
• Minimum 1-year commitment

• Available for a 2-year commitment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience working in an office or hospital setting
