Job Description:

The Student Data Analyst Intern will primarily be responsible for assisting in website development tasks, focusing on building interactive web pages, designing and coding data request forms, integrating form data with existing data management systems, embedding dashboards for comprehensive data visualization, and tracking website usage and user flow analytics. The intern will collaborate closely with the team to enhance the functionality and usability of departmental web resources.

Web Development:

o Develop and maintain websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.

o Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and accessible.

Form Development & Data Integration:

o Design, develop, and implement web-based data request forms.

o Write efficient, secure code to integrate form submissions with backend databases and systems.

o Ensure accurate data capture and storage, maintaining data integrity and security standards.

Dashboard Embedding & Management:

o Embed and manage interactive dashboards into websites to effectively display analytical insights.

o Work closely with the analytics team to ensure dashboards are accurate, up-to-date, and visually engaging.

Web Analytics & Flow Tracking:

o Implement web analytics tools to monitor and analyze user interactions and site performance.

o Regularly review website traffic, user behavior, and flow data to provide actionable insights for improvement.

Technical Support:

o Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for web applications.

o Assist with documentation and training resources related to web systems and tools.

Collaboration & Communication:

o Work closely with departmental staff and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.

o Attend meetings and effectively communicate project progress and technical concepts to non-technical team members.

 Flexible, 10 hours per week, to be scheduled around student availability.

Expected Salary:

$20.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Preferred:

· Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

· Familiarity with backend technologies and databases (e.g., Python, SQL).

· Understanding of web accessibility standards and responsive design principles.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Experience embedding and managing analytical dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
