Job Description: |
The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) is actively seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Outreach, Training, and Compliance team as a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II. In this role, you'll conduct in-person and video presentations, participate in student activities, and assist students and their families with their financial aid concerns. You will also collaborate with other areas in SFA to ensure vital processes, like the disbursement of financial aid, occur in an efficient and timely manner. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Outreach, Engagement, and Student Support
- Conducts financial aid and wellness presentations for both on-campus and off-campus audiences
- Represents the office at events for students, families, and community or campus partners
- Develops and updates outreach and training materials
- Travels locally and throughout the state for outreach (including non-business hours), using a state vehicle
- Lifts and transports recruitment and informational materials (up to 40 lbs)
- Resolves complex or escalated student financial aid cases from OneStop Enrollment Services
- Assists with financial aid processing tasks, including award and disbursement operations
Compliance and Administrative Duties
- Maintains the office’s Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure regulatory compliance
- Gathers information for subpoena responses and fraud investigations
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary: |
$47,500 annually

Required Qualifications: |
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Valid driver's license required.
