Classification Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of experience.

Job Description:

Technical and Operational:

 

Oversee the administration and operations of the Bursar’s Office, including but not limited to:

  • Tuition and fee assessment
  • Student refunds
  • Collections for past due accounts and loans
  • General customer service
  • Third-party billing 

Customer Service:

  • Creating and maintaining a customer-centric environment

Leadership:

  • Lead high-performing teams located within the Bursar’s Office
  • Create continuous improvement frameworks

Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and implement metrics to improve the quality and efficiency of the department
  • Analyze and evaluate business processes in order to improve operational efficiencies

Strategic Direction:

  • Develop and implement innovative departmental strategies
  • Align strategic objectives with University's broader goals

Special Projects:

  • Performs a variety of special projects as needed

Expected Salary:

$130,000 – $140,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of experience.

Preferred:

Experience using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

Proven success in leading process improvement initiatives and technology implementations in a higher education setting

Extensive knowledge of both Federal and State regulations related to student accounts (Title IV, FERPA, etc.)
