The University of Florida, Department of Emergency Medicine, seeks a motivated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. You will provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting, supporting the department's commitment to innovation and excellence in emergency medicine. Focused on delivering outstanding clinical service in a novel care model, you will collaborate with a dedicated and excellence-driven team to shape the future of emergency care at our new Ocala Neighborhood Hospital.

The UF Department of Emergency Medicine proudly maintains an affiliation with UF Health Shands Hospital, a distinguished 1,162-bed teaching facility renowned for its Level 1 trauma center and cutting-edge burn center. As the primary referral center for North Central Florida, our institution stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare.   • New hospital, fresh start. Be among the first to practice in a purpose-built microhospital using an innovative care model.

  • Manageable volume. Fewer than 10,000 visits expected in year one.

  • Flexible scheduling. Twelve 12-hour shifts/month.

Expected Salary:

Required Qualifications:

Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes* plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.

Preferred
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Qualified for licensure in the State of Florida
  • Federal DEA Certification
