Job Description:

Help Gators Belong. Lead the RecSports Frontline Students.

Are you passionate about helping students, faculty, staff, and community members connect with campus recreation?  The University of Florida Department of Recreational Sports is seeking a Coordinator for Member Services to lead our front-line student team and deliver exceptional service to the Gator Nation at our recreational facilities.

In this role, you will: 

  • Hire, train, supervise, and mentor a team of 20–30 student employees to provide high-quality RecSports information and services.
  • Serve as a front-line leader, ensuring our staff uphold all policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Oversee daily Member Services operations including Fusion software functions (access, security, spectator passes, and reporting).
  • Collaborate across the department and campus to promote RecSports programs and enhance membership services.
  • Support budget management, payroll, outreach efforts, and risk management practices to keep our operations smooth and sustainable.

This position reports to the Assistant Director for Member Services and plays a key role in shaping the member experience at RecSports facilities.

 Expected Salary: 

$45,000 - $50,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with Fusion Recreation Management Software, or willingness to learn.

Valid driver's license required. 

Preferred:
  • Master’s degree plus two years of experience in membership sales and service, preferably in recreation or fitness.
  • Familiarity with Fusion Recreation Management Software, or willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and strong organizational skills.
  • A team-focused, adaptable, and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
