Job Description:
  • Designs and drafts a weekly department newsletter, integrating announcements, ISS, SAS, OGL, OGRE, and EVS events, and opportunities for an audience of over 4,000 subscribers, for manager review.
  • Assist in maintaining website sections such as News and Events; supports the structural organization and migration of the UFIC website from Drupal to Terminal 4. Adds all UFIC events to the UF campus-wide events calendar weekly.
  • Develops content and visual assets for ISS, SAS, OGL, OGRE, and EVS social media platforms. Creates basic original graphics using tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva. Works collaboratively with the communications team to align content with UFIC marketing and communication goals.
  • Manages multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Supports collection and analysis of digital metrics for use across web, social media, print, and other media channels.
  • Provides logistical and marketing support for UFIC events and ISS, SAS, OGL, OGRE, and EVS programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Expected Salary:

$16.76 - $22.75 /hour

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure

Preferred:
  • Must provide a portfolio of recent design work
  • Must demonstrate a proficient level of competency using Apple, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office products, and web design applications.
  • The ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a team setting as well as work independently, take direction well, and respond to constructive criticism.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once, within short time frames and deadlines.
  • Must have minimum website design and social media management experience
  • Must support the International Center and its mission and follow the University of Florida’s graphic style and branding.
  • Awareness of current standards and trends in social media, marketing, and emerging technology in web design.
