The University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean and Director of MBA Programs. This leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and continuous improvement of UF’s comprehensive portfolio of MBA programs: including Online, Full-time, Executive, and Weekend Part-Time formats. The Full-time and Weekend Part-Time formats are in the Top 20 of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools 2024 ranks among U.S. Public Schools.
The Assistant Dean and Director reports to the Senior Associate Dean and works closely with the Dean, and other Warrington College leadership will champion innovation, academic excellence, and market competitiveness. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the MBA landscape, capable of fostering strong relationships with students, alumni, faculty, staff, university leadership, and corporate partners.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic plans to elevate program rankings and visibility.
- Lead curriculum innovation aligned with business trends and employer needs.
- Drive digital transformation and technology integration across all formats.
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise a team of directors and approximately 20 staff members.
Academic Program Management and Quality Assurance
- Oversee admissions strategy and execution.
- Ensure academic rigor, accreditation compliance, and quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to deliver exceptional educational experiences.
- Implement assessment frameworks for continuous improvement.
- FERPA certification required annually.
Stakeholder Engagement and External Relations
- Represent the MBA programs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Cultivate industry partnerships to enhance student opportunities.
- Lead alumni engagement and philanthropic initiatives.
- Participate in national conferences and peer institution collaborations.
- Requires flexibility for evening/weekend activities and occasional travel.
Resource Management and Budget Optimization
- Manage program budgets and staffing to support sustainable growth.
- Optimize resource allocation across program formats.
- Comply with UF financial and privacy regulations.
