Are you passionate about creating outdoor and waterfront experiences that inspire growth, connection, and adventure? The University of Florida’s Department of Recreational Sports is seeking a Coordinator for Lake Wauburg to lead and grow our dynamic programs and services at Lake Wauburg.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our outdoor lakefront facilities within the support and direction of the Assistant Director for Lake Wauburg. 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a talented student team that facilitates programs and services for the UF community. 

  • Develop and manage innovative waterfront programs and services that promote skill development, adventure, and well-being. 

  • Ensure the highest standards of risk and safety, maintaining all facilities and equipment. 

  • Manage budgeting, reservations, and rentals, keeping our programs financially and operationally strong. 

 
 
Expected Salary:

$45,000-$50,000
Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver’s license; ARC Lifeguard certification and/or Challenge Course management certification.
Preferred:

Master's degree with two or more years of experience in waterfront operations and/or lifeguarding.
