Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:
  • Provides career planning services to all University of Florida students. Serves as a career coach by delivering individual and group career planning services. Supports early engagement by facilitating individual career planning appointments, outreach presentations, and small group coaching to UF undergraduate and graduate students. 
  • Facilitates customized career education workshops, for-credit course material, and large group programs to UF students. Implements elements of the Career Action Plan and career development theory in all workshops and programs. Provides direct service or coaching through center-wide series and cohort programs focused on early engagement efforts. Customizes existing C3 marketing materials and resources for students.
  • Facilitates external career development programming and outreach to student organizations, campus partners, and faculty to promote career services and the Career Connections Center. Coordinates day-to-day outreach administration and handles logistical functions to support career education programming including scheduling, reserving space, ordering supplies, communicating with attendees and other activities.
  • Maintains relationships with campus partners to increase the career readiness of UF students while helping students prepare for successful post-graduation outcomes.
  • Aids in maintaining quantitative and qualitative records for various types of interactions for assessment and reporting purposes to demonstrate impact. Responsible for tracking and reporting on student engagement. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of career development trends. 

 

Expected Salary:

50,000.00

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s degree in education, marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR) 
 
EXPERIENCE  
- Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, education, marketing, sales, career development, career counseling, or HR  
 
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies  
 
SKILLS  
- Skilled in computer applications  
- Facilitation skills - Interpersonal skills  
- Good presentation skills, listening skills, helping skills, relationship management, and program development  
 
ABILITIES: Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
