Job Description: |
The University of Florida’s (UF) College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ (CLAS) Academic Advising Center (AAC) is accepting applications for two (2) residential academic advisor positions (“Assistant In” classification with the possibility for one (1) at the promoted “Associate In” classification). The anticipated start date is November 15th, 2025. The appointment is a renewable 12-month, non-tenure track position.
Duties include advising undergraduate students in CLAS on academic requirements and policies, as well as students seeking admission to a CLAS major; advising students in the development and achievement of their academic and career goals; participating in various AAC programs and initiatives including presenting academic workshops; working with UF’s summer orientation programs for first-year students and new transfer students; serving as a liaison to other departments and centers in the college and other offices across campus. Advisors will also work with one or more special populations: academically at-risk students, exploratory/undeclared students, pre-health students, pre-law students, and transfer students based on advisor interest and/or office need. This position may contain occasional participation in job-related activities outside of traditional work hours.

Expected Salary: |
Assistant In: $54,000 - $59,000 and includes a full benefits package.
Associate In: $60,000 - $64,000 and includes a full benefits package.
