Job Description:

The Research Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Associate Director of Project and Program Management in the Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) division, and will support grants and projects led by BIDS faculty. The job responsibilities include a full range of research-related and organizational support efforts across multiple initiatives. The Coordinator will facilitate team communication, coordinate research study execution, and support grant proposals and research dissemination. The Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external research partners, clinical providers, and other stakeholders. Within these activities, opportunities will exist for the Coordinator to foster their individual professional interests and develop new skills.

Functions

  • Coordinate sponsored research projects
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of IRB protocols and other study documentation
  • Organize, document, and assist with leading research project team meetings
  • Track project objectives, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure that research activities remain on schedule 
  • Provide project updates to team members, leadership, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist investigators to produce publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations to academic, organizational, and community audiences
  • Assist in tracking publications and in research product dissemination
  • Handle protected health information and human subject issues with sensitivity
  • Maintain budgets and monitor project spending
  • Assist with grant proposal development in collaboration with investigators and research administrators
  • Assist with updating and maintaining payroll distributions and effort distribution verification
  • Other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:

$26,100

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and task tracking and/or project management software
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to supporting documenting of grant proposals, interpreting and implementing protocols, and collecting data to ensure accuracy and integrity
Preferred:
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and task tracking and/or project management software
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to supporting documenting of grant proposals, interpreting and implementing protocols, and collecting data to ensure accuracy and integrity
