Learning Management System (LMS) Design and Development 

• Provides project leadership for large projects by establishing goals and monitoring progress to ensure successful completion. Provides advice and guidance for comprehensive learning and training programs including course/project scope, time line, materials, and course evaluation.
• Develops and designs learning aids including, but not limited to, instructional guides and web simulations to assist in the transfer of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops appropriate classroom and technology-based training to meet organization and individual needs.
• Build courses and learning experiences on the LMS 
• Edit and update courses and learning experiences on the LMS as needed 
• Utilize LMS features and/or integrations when designing learning experiences 
• Implement current visual identity and accessibility guidelines for all LMS experiences 
• Identify and curate resources and assets for use on the LMS 
• Upload and maintain resources and assets on the LMS 
• Provide consultation for Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and Interactive Media Designers when creating project sprints and learning experiences 
• Inform and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or quality assurance of products and learning experiences on the LMS 
• Ensure interactive activities, Learning Tools Interoperability (LTIs), and/or SCORMs perform as intended
• Assist with Instructor Resources Brightspace development, as needed 

LMS System Operations

• Assist in Student Information Systems (SIS) and Brightspace LMS platform administration.
• Support functionality of third-party integrations 
• Assist in collection of LMS-related feedback from programs and instructors 
• Implement edits and updates to courses and learning experiences on the LMS based on feedback 
• Communicate and coordinate with content reviewers and instructional designers about updates and improvements to existing courses and learning experiences 
• Communicate course readiness to PMO pre-and post-Bug Bash, updates/revisions
• Adhere to project timelines to ensure timely launches of courses and of learning experiences 
• Implement and maintain systems for course version tracking in GitHub 
• Responsible for mastering courses
• Document Brightspace structures and program specifics in GitHub 
• Help to manage the LMS platform more extensively to improve the overall user experience for both instructors and learners.
• Lead with high standards and forward momentum of UFLC eLearning initiatives.

Supervision

 • Organize and maintain project files in relevant locations 
 • Maintain naming and course mastering conventions 
 • Supervise eLD specialist, student team, and OPS to assist with LMS design and development 
 • Assist with maintaining and developing project tracking sheets 

Other tasks as assigned

This position is time limited and soft-funded.

Expected Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred:   
• Strong organizational skills 
• Evidence of ability and willingness to work collaboratively 
• Demonstrates the following dispositions highly valued by the Lastinger Center: committed, collaborative, culturally attuned, conscious of practice, curious, change agent. 
• Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for creating various graphical assets for video and LMS production 
• Previous LMS or eLearning experience 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
• Strong understanding of digital course content development from both the content and production perspectives
