Job Description:

Recruiting and Outreach for the Warrington College of Business in Jacksonville:

Manage the admissions cycle for prospective Warrington College of Business (WCB) students in Jacksonville. Serve as an admissions resource to individuals navigating the admissions process. Meet with candidates and conduct interviews. Identify prospects with interest and qualifications for WCB programs.

Cultivate relationships with current WCB students and alumni in Jacksonville to identify and create pathways for potential students, community activities and groups, and corporate connections. 

Plan and conduct regional information / recruitment sessions, an annual open house event, and facility tours at Jacksonville Campus. This includes identifying locations for events not hosted on Jacksonville campus, coordination of logistics before and during events, and communication with attendees. Develop and maintain recruiting calendar for the area that aligns with overall admissions calendar and goals. This position will collaborate with the MBA and Specialized Masters admissions staff. Additionally, the incumbent will, as needed, receive guidance and direction from the Director of Admissions to ensure continuity among programs and processes.

Build Jacksonville-based community outreach strategy and calendar designed to generate program awareness, recruit new students, and provide networking opportunities for current WCB students and alumni. Build a community outreach calendar to manage community outreach activity. Serve as the WCB representative/presenter at outreach events and proactively define when other WCB team members (directors, assistant dean) should attend. Track and report on community outreach activity in Jacksonville market to better understand how outreach efforts translate to awareness and future WCB enrollment.

Academic Advising and Student Experience:

Serve as the lead academic advisor for Jacksonville WCB students. Provide student support including registering students for courses, communicating about grades as well as holds, tracking degree progress and facilitating changes in student status. Communicate changes to stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for WCB students with academic issues or concerns.

Plan and deliver orientation and end of program events for WCB graduate cohorts.

Provide insight and direction for Jacksonville engagement events. Participate in events when possible, serving as the conduit between current students, alumni, and staff.

WCB Weekend Class Operations:

Serve as the primary coordinator of and staff member present for class weekends at the UF Jacksonville campus for a minimum of 12 weekends per year (out of ~16 class weekends) from 6 am until 8 pm (or 1.5 hours after all classes end). During class weekends, serve as a visible ambassador who is active and engaged with the students.

Coordinate catering, supplies, and facilities (HVAC, lighting, cleaning) to ensure smooth operation of weekend classes and events.

Coordinate faculty and staff travel packet with information about logistics, local hotel options and other considerations for individuals traveling to Jacksonville to support the WCB programs.

Gather and analyze student feedback to refine engagement initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement for the student experience.

Jacksonville Office / Program Management / Supervision:

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Warrington College of Business at Jacksonville Campus and liaison with campus facilities staff, local city officials, the broader UF Jacksonville community, and WCB entities.

Develop and recommend policies pertaining to the WCB programs in Jacksonville under the supervision of the WCB leadership and interpret and implement educational and administrative policies and regulations; ensure all policies and activities comply with applicable rules for WCB program offerings.

Hire, Train, Supervise staff position responsible for weeknight class operations and additional WCB program support.

Warrington Team Activities:

Attend activities in Gainesville to connect with Warrington staff and understand program operation including orientations, spring and fall graduation ceremonies (April and December), admissions events as determined, and similar team events. These events are spread throughout the year and often span multiple days. Travel and lodging costs are covered.

Additional Duties:

Undertake other duties, projects, deliverables, or reports assigned by supervisor and WCB Leadership. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in program growth and development.

Expected Salary:

$75,000 - $80,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, possess strong organizational abilities, and have a proven track record in event management. They will be well-versed in the core responsibilities of an academic student affairs officer, including admissions, academic advising, program administration, and serving as a primary liaison for student and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a high level of technological proficiency. They must also exhibit effective communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications include:

  • A demonstrated history of strategic planning, team leadership, and delivering high-quality program outcomes

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and resource allocation

This individual will be expected to provide exemplary leadership for the Warrington Student Experience unit, while also serving as a collaborative and positive presence within the broader Warrington College of Business (WCB) community. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of academic unit operations and the ability to navigate complex institutional structures.

The ideal candidate will proactively seek opportunities to build partnerships across the Warrington portfolio to enhance strategic outcomes, particularly for the Jacksonville programs. Collaboration with colleagues across the Hough Graduate School of Business and the Warrington College of Business is essential.

Additionally, the candidate may be asked to represent the university at professional association meetings or other external events.
