Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Job Description:

Scheduling/Staffing:

Input rental and sponsored event estimates into Shiftboard

Publish monthly shifts and broadcast to staff that shifts are assigned and/or available for sign up

Assign support staff to shifts they have signed up for

Support last-minute shift coverage for unfilled staffing needs

Monitor technical staff communication line for shift callouts

Participate in hiring process of new event staff

 

Payroll:

Daily timecard processing

            Checking/resolving adherence discrepancies

            Ensuring proper contract codes and labor types for event reconciliation

Track hours worked by foreign exchange students for limits

 

Patron Services/FOH:

Direct supervision of Patron Services Coordinator

            Provide oversight of volunteer scheduling

            Provide oversight into scheduling of receptionist area

            Purchase volunteer snacks as needed in absence of Patron Services Coordinator

            Provide coverage for front-of-house when needed

Assist with coordination of logistics for school shows

Continuous training for Manager on Duty

Member of Safety and Security team

Other duties as assigned

Expected Salary:

$22.99-$24.90 / hour

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

 

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate domain, for example event management, or performing arts production.

Management/leadership experience, including for performing arts events, and/or event management and planning.

Proficiency with computers and basic software applications such as Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Positive communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), including comfort with public speaking, presentations, and leading meetings and group training.

Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to handle an array of concurrent projects or tasks, shifting attention as needed.

Customer service experience and familiarity with event services and venue management, informed by a commitment to welcoming engagement and support.

Ability to work collegially, supportively, and collaboratively as a member of our team.

Capacity to understand, interpret, and apply UF and UFPA rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
