Job Description:

A Post-doctoral Associate in Catalysis/Polymer Chemistry position is available for graduates to work in a project on the Topological Performance Polymers led by Dr. Adam S. Veige in the Chemistry Department. We have a position available in our group to work on The Postdoctoral Associate will be involved in the synthesis and characterization of cyclic polymers using novel catalysts discovered in the Veige group https://veige.chem.ufl.edu/ at the University of Florida. The candidate will enjoy the benefit of working closely with DPI scientists and collaborators at the UniNa Laboratory of Stereoselective Polymerizations (LSP), high-throughput catalysis facility http://www.lsp.unina.it/lsp/. This position offers a vibrant and highly interactive academic setting along with industrial-sponsored funding, access to outstanding resources and technology platforms, strong computational support, and a friendly, collaborative, and interdisciplinary group of colleagues.

Must have PhD in Chemistry with experience in catalysis or polymer chemistry. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to one year.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field.

Preferred:

Experience with Organometallic Chemistry

Experience with Polymer Synthesis

Experience with Catalysis
