Job Description:

Schedule: This position is for 30-40 hrs per week.

The Laboratory for Rehabilitation Neuroscience (lrnlab.org), located in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, College of Health and Human Performance, at the University of Florida seeks a candidate for a NIH funded Research Coordinator position to conduct EEG and MRI studies of motor performance, sensory/pain processing, and cognitive performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Patient recruitment and scheduling, 2) data collection for motor performance, sensory/pain testing, cognitive performance, EEG, and magnetic resonance imaging, 3) oversee IRB compliance and submissions, 4) work with PI to develop new grant proposals, publications, and data presentation, 5) assist with NIH and other Federal Agencies grant documentation, and 6) oversee day to day maintenance of supplies and organization for patient testing.

Expected Salary:

Pay is $22 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate should have a Bachelors degree. Candidates must be able to work well in a team effort with other investigators, must communicate well and be able to work in an organizational structure and be able to deal with day-to-day patient facing activities in an active laboratory. Experience with the Internal Review Board, recruiting participants, and good communication skills are desired. Strong organizational and personal skills are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Friendly, personable, and professional

· Reliable and punctual with a strong attention to detail

· Prior experience in scheduling or administrative support is a plus
