| Job Description: |
This position will primarily ensure that tissue samples move through the histological pipeline in a timely manner expecting 20-40 hours per week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing fixed human tissue samples for both microtome and cryotome sectioning
- Embedding fixed human tissues such as fat pad, synovium, femur, tibia, and meniscus
- Operating and maintaining multiple laboratory information management systems for sample tracking and histology
- Performing manual staining techniques, such as hematoxylin and eosin, safranin O, and others
Imaging histological samples using bright field, confocal microscopy, and other techniques

$15-$25 per hour

| Required Qualifications: |
Prior experience in histological techniques is required. B.S. degree or higher is preferred.

| Preferred: |
Experience with sectioning, staining, and basic microscopy
|
