| Job Description: | The OPS Instructional Designer (Accessibility-Focused) will assist with course design, digitalmedia development, and accessibility review, ensuring all instructional materials meet UF and
 federal accessibility standards.
 Primary Responsibilities:  
Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and media specialists to developengaging, pedagogically sound online learning experiences.
Review and revise existing course content to ensure compliance with accessibilitystandards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508, UF Accessibility Guidelines).
Create and edit course content in the Canvas learning management system, includingmodules, assignments, assessments, and multimedia.
Use accessibility tools such as SensusAccess and UF’s captioning services to createaccessible versions of PDFs, documents, and video content.
Add or verify closed captions, alt text, and transcripts for video and audio materials.Support faculty with accessibility best practices and assist in developing guides ortraining resources.
Conduct accessibility audits of online course materials and report findings to the ETCteam.
Assist with ongoing instructional design projects, digital content creation, and qualityassurance reviews.

| Expected Salary: | $15.00 hourly | 
| Required Qualifications: | 
Enrollment in or completion of a degree program related to Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and accessible education. | 
| Preferred: | 
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas.Basic understanding of universal design for learning (UDL) principles.Experience with SensusAccess, Adobe Acrobat accessibility tools, and captioning platforms (e.g., YouTube Studio, 3Play Media). Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.Interest in instructional design, educational media, and accessibility compliance. |
