The IT Generalist II, provides IT support for the College of Nursing.  Responsibilities will include assisting the IT Director with all Risk Assessments, inventory, simulation and examination support, PC and Mac support for faculty, staff and best effort for all students.  They will be responsible for supporting our Nurse managed clinic in Archer FL and be responsible for EPIC support.  In addition must have knowledge of basic networking troubleshooting for CISCO switches and wireless access points.  Incumbent must be able to provide transportation to travel to our Jacksonville campus and events hosted by the college on and off campus.  The incumbent is responsible for all onboarding and offboarding requests from Nursing HR.  These tasks include Active Directory, email configuration, knowledge of Group Policy.  They will be responsible for Lenel access, listserv management, supporting all UF managed software and other software/cloud solutions necessary for research.
Responsible for providing hardware, software and operating system support for end-user computing equipment at our Gainesville campus. Responsible for performing break/fix functions for desktops, laptops, and other mobile devices. In addition, the incumbent provides support at our campus in Jacksonville and our nurse managed clinic in Archer Florida. Incumbent provides best effort support for nursing students’ personally owned devices. Travel is required for this position.
The incumbent is responsible for providing technical support in the Thomas M. and Irene B. Kirbo Innovation and Learning Laboratory at the Iona M. Pettengill Nursing Resource Center (TIKILL) – as part of the simulation facility. The responsibilities of the incumbent are to troubleshoot specialized simulation equipment along with proprietary computer equipment and support faculty using the equipment/products. As well as providing simulation technical support at our Jacksonvile campus. Knowledge of Laredal products a plus.

The incumbent is responsible for providing technical support for conference room spaces, Assist faculty access to the Instructional Designers resources on the shared drive and assisting faculty, staff and students with any hardware or software needs related to course work.  Familiarity with Canvas, MediaSite, Zoom.  Troubleshoot issues for students in online/hybrid programs on both PC and Mac devices. 
Supporting our nurse managed clinic, experience working with EHR such as EPIC and GE Athena.  Incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting the UFHealth network, centralized Xerox printers. The Incumbent is responsible for supporting the paperless initiative at Archer Family Health Care  which includes using DocuSign, mobile/docking stations for License Practical Nursing (LPN) to collect vitals on patients in real time. The incumbent is responsible to support the eFax system where faxes are received by email.  
Document all work and processes in TeamDynamix; performs imaging and reimages of end user devices; provides customers guidance and instruction on the use of hardware and software. Participates in technical and customer service training initiatives and inter-team technical projects as directed. 
The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining documentation in Teams. 
Incumbent responsibility for onboarding/offboarding includes but is not limited to set up computers with software and all needed components including VoIP phones. Updating Digital signage (Xibo), maintaining inventory of hardware and software.
Incumbent is responsible for port activations, moves, deactivations and setting up new Cisco VoIP telephone numbers and hardware.
Incumbent assists in creating and managing email accounts, Group Policies, and Active Directory accounts as a part of the onboarding & offboarding process. Other items include managing the Lenel system for physical access, home/share drive assignments, listserv management, and facilitates completion of the UF security training. 
Incumbent is responsible for the deletion of all electronic files containing University data from personally owned computers, mobile devices, cloud storage, and storage media (e.g. flash drives, etc.) for off-boarding. 
Incumbent is responsible for the procurement of new hardware and proper destruction of retired systems. The incumbent is responsible for identifying system specifications at CoN and remote sites based on the needs of the faculty and staff.  Incumbent is responsible for salvaging UF owned devices and ensuring data is properly wiped and sent to UF Surplus for recycle.
Work closely with the college Information Security Manager to comply with Integrated Risk Management (IRM). Support UF standard applications which include clinical, educational, research, and administrative functions. 
Exam technical support for in person and online exams.  Including Proctor U, HonorLock, Examsoft and Elsevier/Evolve.  He/She will provide support to the Education Training Specialist II.  Incumbent is responsible for providing technical support, proctoring services and other duties related to the test environment. This will require traveling to our Jacksonville campus outside of the normal business hours.
