| Job Description: |
The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Operations for the UFVH satellite clinics, UF PETS and UFVH at the World Equestrian Center. This position oversees daily operations, financial performance, and strategic development to ensure each clinic meets operational, financial, teaching, and patient care goals. The Assistant Director of Operations provides analytical data, participates in decision making, and develops operational policies, fee structures, and workflow processes to support long-term success.
The critical competencies for this position include analytical skills, relationship building, excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritize. A strong business background, leading large teams, knowledge of state and university purchasing guidelines, and experience with Cornerstone, Instinct, and Asteris is preferred. This position requires a post-offer health assessment and background check.

• Experience with previous practice management, managing and leading large teams • Experience managing a mixed animal veterinary clinic • Experience managing a veterinary clinic providing advanced diagnostic imaging • Experience in a small animal emergency veterinary clinic • Experience with Cornerstone, Instinct, Asteris, Cubex, and AI Scribe applications • Knowledge of Florida state and university purchasing guidelines • Demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. • Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude; Able to think independently and demonstrate good problem-solving skills • Excellent customer service skills; excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Able to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of personnel in a positive manner
