Job Description:

Postdoctoral Policy & HR Coordination

· Partner with UF Human Resources and campus units to ensure consistent policies and procedures for postdoc appointments, benefits, visa compliance, and employee relations.

· Lead development and implementation of postdoctoral policies aligned with national best practices.

· Oversee adoption and compliance of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) across departments.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for complex postdoc-related concerns and case resolution.

Postdoc Programming & Engagement

· Design and deliver professional development programming for postdocs, including orientation, mentoring initiatives, and career development workshops.

· Coordinate closely with Graduate School programs such as GatorLead and Preparing Future Faculty to integrate postdoc-specific content.

· Provide leadership and administrative support to the UF Postdoctoral Association, fostering community engagement and collaboration.

Endowment & Fellowship Administration

· Administer the John & Katherine Ewel Postdoctoral Fellowship, including managing the selection process, expense approvals, and liaising with host departments and donors.

Other Postdoctoral Affairs Duties

· Support additional initiatives and cross-campus collaborations to enhance the postdoc experience, such as the Postdoctoral Awards Ceremony and research symposia.

Graduate School Strategic Initiatives

· Contribute to Graduate School strategic committees and initiatives related to postdoctoral success and recognition.

· Prepare annual reports on postdoc outcomes, programming impact, and compliance metrics.

Expected Salary: $92,000
Minimum Requirements:

· Master’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and eight years of relevant experience. Demonstrated experience developing policies and partnering with HR and international offices.

· Proven success designing and delivering professional development programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Doctoral degree and prior experience as a postdoctoral scholar or supervising postdocs.

· Familiarity with national postdoctoral best practices and engagement with organizations such as the National Postdoctoral Association.

· Experience administering internal fellowships and managing donor relationships.
