Job Description:
The incumbent’s primary responsibility will be to act as liaison between faculty, staff, and students regarding research/meetings for the research/project team, this includes coordinating meetings with state and federal fisheries agencies and stakeholders. Collaborates with PI to facilitate quarterly and annual research team meetings, and coordinates student and guest participation. 

Coordinates and assists in completing drafting/editing technical reports for biannual reports, final report, and others as needed using required formatting (Word document style formats and ensuring ADA compliance in all documentation). 

Contributes to the preparation of research summaries, insights, and data visualizations for professional conferences, outreach events, and stakeholder meetings. 

Coordinates research and participant travel, including air travel, accommodations, and travel administrative procedures for field research and conferences. 

Manages purchasing and travel documentation, including use of PCards, working within myUF Marketplace and UF GO (UF’s travel portal), purchasing from external providers, submitting forms and documentation for purchases and travel. Understands and ensures that compliance with federal and state purchasing policies are followed. 

 Assists in development, updates, and maintenance of project website. 

**This is a time-limited position that is dependent on grant-funding (5 years with possibility of renewal).

 This position is located in the FFGS - Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Program, Millhopper Road Unit - 7922 NW 71st St, Gainesville, FL 32653

Expected Salary:

$43,888

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
Master’s degree in fisheries or related field.
 
The preferred candidate would possess experience/expertise in some of the following areas:
 
Demonstrated ability to plan multi-investigator meetings, and meetings with multiple groups of people spanning academia, agencies, and stakeholders.
 
Experience conducting scientific research, including but not limited to data analysis, visualization, and technical report writing in fisheries or a related field.
 
Excellent written and oral communication skills as evidenced by publications and presentations (technical reports, conference presentations, peer-reviewed articles, etc.)
 
Experience with data visualization platforms.
 
Experience with electronic data management (databases, spreadsheets, online forms, etc.)
 
Ability to multitask on several subprojects while paying attention to detail; well organized
 
Familiarity with typical institutional paperwork load.
