The Opportunity
The College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida seeks a Marketing and Admissions Coordinator to support recruitment, marketing, and admissions operations for our in-residence master’s and Ph.D. programs. This role is ideal for a collaborative higher-education professional who enjoys engaging with prospective students, managing admissions workflows, and contributing to graduate enrollment strategy within a nationally ranked public university.
The Admissions and Marketing Coordinator serves as a key partner to faculty, staff, and central admissions units, helping attract a talented graduate student population.
This position offers opportunities to build experience across graduate recruitment, admissions operations, marketing support, and data analysis, providing a strong foundation for career growth within marketing and higher education administration.
Key Responsibilities
Graduate Recruitment & Outreach
- Represent the College’s graduate programs at information sessions, graduate fairs, campus events, and professional association meetings
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing timely, accurate, and student-centered guidance throughout the admissions process
- Collaborate with faculty and program leadership on recruitment initiatives and yield efforts
Marketing & Communications Support
- Maintain and update graduate program web content and social media platforms in coordination with College and University guidelines
- Assist with the development and distribution of recruitment and marketing materials
Admissions Operations & Processing
- Manage application workflows, ensuring files are complete and routed appropriately for faculty review
- Ensure compliance with University of Florida Graduate School and Admissions policies and deadlines
- Utilize Slate CRM and related systems to support recruitment, admissions, and enrollment activities
- Process immigration documentation for new and continuing international graduate students
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report on application, admission, and enrollment trends
- Support data-informed decision-making by preparing routine reports and monitoring best practices in graduate admissions
