| The UF Research Business Office is accepting applications for Accountant I/II positions.
Accountant I:
The Accountant I reviews and approves purchase requests, P-card, and travel expenses, ensuring they meet UF policy. Manages cash-based research projects-creating projects, transferring funds, reconciling balances, and closing projects. Reconciles operating projects and provides financial reports to directors and monitors the shared inbox. Must be able to prepare, track, and read financial accounting transactions. Must have knowledge of revenues and expenditures, assets, liabilities, general ledger, trial balance, and PeopleSoft or other operating systems. Strong verbal and written communication is required, as well as the ability to deal accurately with numbers and mathematical documentation. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize complex data sets in Microsoft Excel is essential.
Accountant II:
The Accountant II manages commitment programs within UF Research and its institutes. Reviews and approves Pcard and travel expenses, responding to requests in shared inboxes daily. Reconciles accounts monthly. Manages the oversight of purchase requests, P-card, and travel expenses, ensuring they meet UF policy. Manages cash-based research projects- creating projects, transferring funds, reconciling balances, and closing projects. Oversees the reconciliation of operating projects and provides financial reports to directors. Must be able to prepare, track, and read financial accounting transactions. Must have knowledge of revenues and expenditures, assets, liabilities, general ledger, trial balance, and PeopleSoft or other operating systems.
