Job Description:

The Opportunity:

The University of Florida, College of Journalism and Communications, STEM Translational Communication Center (STCC) is seeking an OPS Administrative Coordinator that is organized and detail-oriented to provide essential administrative support. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our center and includes managing daily office tasks, scheduling, handling fiscal responsibilities, and assisting with event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist the STCC Director with calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, and general office management.
  • Information Dissemination: Manage STCC communications, including creating quarterly email updates, overseeing listservs, websites, and social media accounts.
  • Fiscal Operations: Support financial processes, such as expense reporting, human subject payment requests, travel, and budget assistance.
  • Office Coordination: Act as a point of contact for the office, addressing inquiries and managing office supplies and equipment.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with planning and logistics for STCC events, including travel arrangements and processing related invoices.

The work schedule will vary, with a minimum requirement of four days per week/8 hours a day.

Expected Salary:

$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred
  • Understanding of graduate education. 
  • Knowledge of People Soft, SIS, UF Go, my UF Market, voucher payment, POs, etc.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
  • Able to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction while exercising initiative and independent judgment when appropriate.
