Job Description:

The CRM Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall architecture of the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development Information Systems, this role ensures the CRM platform supports business processes, maintains data integrity, and scales effectively to meet long-term organizational needs. The CRM Solutions Architect collaborates with stakeholders across departments to align CRM capabilities with strategic objectives and integrates the system with other enterprise applications.

CRM Architecture & Design

  • Define and document the overall CRM system architecture, including data models, workflows, and integration points.
  • Establish technical standards and best practices for CRM configuration and customization.
  • Design solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs between declarative and programmatic solutions.

Application Development & Optimization

  • Design, develop, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning components, and Flows.
  • Optimize existing automation and custom code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex CRM issues across code, configuration, and integrations.
  • Enforce development best practices including testing, version control, deployment, and documentation.
  • Support release management, sandbox strategy, and production deployments.
  • Design and develop CRM and Marketing Cloud solutions, including Apex, Flows, SQL, AMPscript, and automation frameworks.
  • Architect and support Salesforce Data360 to unify, model, and activate data across CRM, Marketing Cloud, and enterprise systems.

Integration & System Connectivity

  • Develop and oversee integration between CRM and other enterprise systems, including Marketing Cloud, (ERP, marketing automation, analytics tools, etc.).
  • Implement API-driven and middleware solutions for seamless data exchange.
  • Ensure interoperability with cloud services and third-party applications.

Data Governance & Security

  • Create and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and governance policies.
    Design and maintain CRM security models including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
  • Support compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA, etc.) through technical controls.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity across all CRM-related processes.

Strategic Leadership & Support

  • Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Support change management initiatives to ensure successful CRM adoption.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation for architecture and integrations.
  • Provide training and guidance to IT teams and end-users on CRM best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for CRM-related inquiries.

Technology Roadmap & Innovation

  • Stay current with CRM trends, emerging technologies, and vendor updates.
  • Recommend upgrades, enhancements, and new features to support organizational growth.
  • Track CRM platform roadmap, vendor releases, and emerging capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced analytics and AI-driven CRM capabilities.
Expected Salary:

$105,000-115,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Valid FL driver's license.

Preferred:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in CRM architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Expertise in major CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot).
  • Hands-on development experience with Apex, triggers, asynchronous processing, and Lightning (LWC or Aura), with a strong understanding of governor limits and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database management, and ETL processes.
  • Certifications in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with cloud-based CRM solutions and SaaS architecture.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in business process optimization and change management.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and AI-driven CRM features.
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills; accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and effective time management and organizational skills.
