Classification Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

Job Description:

Student Services

  • Manage student traffic and general traffic flow.
  • Monitor check-ins and ensure accurate Salesforce lobby data.
  • Handle walk-in requests and direct appropriately.
  • Manage incoming phone calls and general email inbox(es) and respond or redirect as appropriate.
  • Assist with upkeep of Canvas advising course. This may include posting weekly announcements, maintaining course functionality by resolving broken links or formatting errors, and monitoring assignment submissions.
  • Support advising communications during high-traffic periods such as advance registration and the first week of classes.

Administrative Services

  • Greet and assist students and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional first impression. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk and reception area.
  • Assist with regularly scheduled reporting processes that support the function of the office.
  • May support planning and implementation of student- and public-facing events.
  • Assist with purchasing, reimbursements, travel coordination, invoice tracking, PCard documentation, and related financial processes.
  • Support daily office operations, including reception, phone coverage, mail distribution, supply ordering, and general office considerations. Address equipment and facility concerns when they arise.
  • Provide support for Engineering Student Affairs.

Other duties as assigned

Expected Salary:

$18.00-$20.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

•  Comfortable working in a team environment and interacting with students and the public.
•  Ability to meet deadlines.
•  Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including Excel.
•  Experience with Canvas and the Student Information System.
