| Job Description: |
The Desk Assistant, Graduate & Family Housing within Housing & Residence Life is responsible for:
- Serving as the first point of contact for current residents, families, and guests answering incoming phone calls, emails or assisting guests in the residential area offices resolving any questions or concerns
- Maintaining and update area office records and materials keeping resident information correct
- Assisting with providing temporary residential and mailbox keys for residents 
- Maintaining knowledge and awareness of safety systems, procedures, protocols, and other emergency action procedures; complete incident reports as needed
- Submitting GatorWorks requests for Custodial Services and Maintenance assistance on behalf of residents, families, or as needed in residential facilities
- Organizing and maintain office space, storage spaces and common areas
- Acting as an ambassador for Housing and Residence Life as well as the University of Florida providing accurate information and campus resources

$14.00 per hour

| Required Qualifications: |
- This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus

- Demonstrated experience with customer service
- Ability to critically analyze situations and actively problem solve
- Ability to work well within a team and with individuals to build positive relationships
- Demonstrated dependability, attention to detail, timeliness, and professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
- Ability to commit to working 10 hours or more per week
