OPS Laboratory Assistant

Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience.

Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

This OPS Laboratory Assistant will help with the day-to-day operation of the nPOD laboratory.

The duties include assisting staff with daily lab tasks such as:

• Database entries, archiving paraffin and OCT blocks
• Archiving slides and help with slide scanning
• Collection of biohazard and non-hazardous waste material and help with the disposal of such materials, as well as chemicals, and other tasks
• Wash and autoclave surgical instruments and other tools pertinent to case processing
• Assisting staff with daily lab chores such as equipment maintenance, cleaning, ordering, and stocking

$18.00 per hour

Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience.

High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

High proficiency in MS Office, especially Access and Excel.

Ability to maintain accurate records and inventories.
