The College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) at the University of Florida is seeking an experienced and highly organized Administrative Specialist II to provide advanced administrative coordination and operational support within a fast‑paced, dynamic academic environment. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on managing complex workflows, supporting faculty and staff, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide advanced administrative coordination, including scheduling, correspondence, document preparation, and workflow management.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external partners, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and HR‑related processes in collaboration with CJC Human Resources.
  • Manage records, reports, and data tracking to support compliance and operational needs.
  • Assist with budget monitoring, purchasing, travel arrangements, and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and special projects, ensuring seamless logistics and follow‑through.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance administrative efficiency.
  • Supervise student assistants

Work Schedule:

In-person full‑time (40 hour/week, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; extended hours as required for special events).
