Job Description:

The Data Management Analyst I supports the Office of Program Evaluation and Student Assessment by managing and analyzing data, maintaining data systems, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to guide program decisions. This role collects, organizes, and interprets data from multiple sources; assists with data visualization, reporting and contributes to program evaluation initiatives. Through effective communication and collaboration, the position helps deliver reliable, accessible information to faculty, students, and leadership.

About This Role:

Data Collection and Management 

  • Collect, clean, and organize data from surveys, assessments, and institutional databases. 
  • Maintain and update data management systems and databases. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify data needs and ensure accurate, timely collection. 
  • Track and store relevant data using computerized systems. 
  • Ensure data is organized and accessible for evaluation and reporting.

Data Analysis and Reporting 

  • Conduct preliminary analyses to support program evaluation and student assessment efforts. 
  • Use statistical software to analyze, interpret, and summarize data. 
  • Apply divisional guidelines and standards for statistical reporting and prediction. 
  • Prepare data summaries and reports for internal use and decision-making. 
  • Contribute to improving data workflows through feedback and team participation.

Survey, Assessment, and Program Support 

  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of surveys and assessment tools. 
  • Prepare data for presentations, publications, and accreditation processes. 
  • Create data visualizations to communicate key findings.
  • Analyze and produce evaluation reports for programs. 
  • Provide data-related support for program assessment initiatives.

Data Accessibility, Communication, and Visualization 

  • Generate student performance reports and ensure accessibility for faculty and students. 
  • Communicate with students regarding their performance reports and respond to inquiries. 
  • Ensure reporting processes align with required timelines and compliance standards. 
  • Maintain student performance dashboards

Administrative Operations and Coordination 

  • Support daily operations of the Office of Program Evaluation and Student Assessment. 
  • Maintain accurate records and files related to evaluation and assessment activities. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, Academic Support Services, including correspondence and documentation. 
  • Track course report progress and ensure timely completion. 
  • Coordinate division meetings, appointments, and events.

Expected Salary:

$53,000 - $57,000 annually

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Preferred:

The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance tools, techniques and standards. 
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft 365/Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Familiarity with web management (Word Press). 
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects independently. 
  • Explain advanced functions with maintaining records in a database format. 
  • Adapt documents and reports for intended audience.
