Job Description:

Program Leadership and Management 
• Serve as the UF’s designated compliance official for the Digital Accessibility Compliance Program
• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a new enterprise-wide accessibility compliance program
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and institutional priorities
• Establish workflows, priorities, and service delivery standards for accessibility compliance activities
• Manage intake and response processes for accessibility plans and accessibility conformance reports/VPATs submitted by colleges and departments
• Engage with external vendors, as needed, and in collaboration with procurement and UF partners to address accessibility conformance and compliance matters.

Staff Supervision and Team Development 
• Supervise compliance analysts and any administrative support staff assigned to the program
• Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development
• Support onboarding, training, and skill development of team members
• Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture

Policy Development and Compliance Oversight 
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to digital accessibility compliance
• Interpret and apply applicable regulations, including ADA, Section 508, and WCAG guidelines
• Ensure alignment of accessibility practices with institutional and system-wide requirements
• Provide authoritative guidance on compliance matters to campus stakeholders

Consultation, Training, and Stakeholder Engagement 
• Conduct 1:1 consultations and group training sessions to support departments in developing Digital ADA Accessibility Compliance Plans
• Advise faculty, staff, and leadership on accessibility requirements, risks, and remediation strategies
• Collaborate with UFIT, procurement, legal, and administrative units to integrate accessibility into institutional processes
• Serve as liaison to internal committees and external stakeholders on accessibility-related matters

Monitoring, Auditing, and Risk Management 
• Lead audits and reviews of digital systems, websites, and ICT for compliance
• Oversee tracking of compliance status, findings, and remediation efforts
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address gaps or vulnerabilities
• Support retrospective reviews and compliance assessments

Program Development and Strategic Planning 
• Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support planning for program growth, including staffing models and resource allocation
• Contribute to institutional strategy related to accessibility compliance and digital compliance

Expected Salary:

Anticipated salary range is $122,000-$135,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and at least six years of experience in appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or the ability to obtain within one year of employment

Preferred:

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Public Administration, Compliance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in digital accessibility, IT compliance, compliance program management, ADA compliance, or a related field
• Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
• Demonstrated experience leading or managing an ADA program in a complex organization
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying accessibility and regulatory standards such as WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and related frameworks
• Experience developing and delivering training or presentations to diverse adult audiences
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills with the ability to research, interpret, and apply complex laws and regulations
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and advising stakeholders, including senior leadership, on compliance matters
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce clear, polished, publication-ready written materials
• Experience with Maxient, SmartSheets, or other similar information management systems
• Demonstrated strong writing and proofreading skills, producing final work products that are polished and ready for publication.
