The University of Florida is looking for an Admissions Officer I to join the Office of Admissions in the Division of Enrollment Management. In this role, you’ll help process student applications for undergraduate, graduate, professional, and certificate programs, making sure all information is accurate and completed on time. You’ll also answer questions from students and departments, provide excellent customer service, and keep records organized.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Application Processing & Data Management
- Review and process applications for undergraduate, graduate, professional, certificate, and online programs
- Maintain thorough knowledge of majors, degrees, and program levels to ensure efficient application processing.
- Determine residency classification for tuition purposes based on Florida's Residency Rules and Regulations.
- Finalize admitted student applications, review credentials, manage holds, and evaluate hold deferral requests.
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the Office of Admissions call center by answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, and managing CRM cases from applicants and departments.
- Support OneStop staff with escalated admissions inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Explain required documents such as transcripts, test scores, fees, and residency paperwork
- Enter and update application information in admissions systems to keep records accurate
- Troubleshoot and fix data issues in admissions systems
- Address and resolve holds on student accounts.
Additional Duties
- Participate in cross-functional events, committees, call campaigns, and assist in creating reference materials.
- Assist in cross-training applicant services employees.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

$43,888 annually
