UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry level part-time Documentation Specialist to join Academic Technology trainers in The Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT), a unit within UFIT. This part-time OPS Documentation Specialist will assist the IT Training team with all aspects of documenting and developing online and F2F training materials as well as creating training aids and maintaining training resources.
UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other dedicated employees focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.
UFIT Training offers comprehensive training services to enhance technical skills and knowledge of staff, faculty, and students. We facilitate workshops, online courses, and personalized training sessions. Academic Technology is located in the Hub on the main campus.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Collaborate with training designers and incorporate feedback as part of the work process
- Create technical documentation and user guides
- Assist with creating visually appealing web sites accessible to all users
- Able to provide high-quality customer service in professional environments
- Possess a working knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus
