The UF CoM Finance & Administration Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, paid opportunity designed to provide fellows with a comprehensive view of academic medicine. Administrative Fellows collaborate directly with executive leadership on high-impact initiatives that span both clinical and academic enterprises, managing projects across over 20 departments. Through this experience, fellows gain exposure to the strategic, operational, and financial priorities of one of the nation’s largest academic health centers, while benefiting from individualized mentorship and leadership development to prepare them to drive meaningful transformation across complex healthcare organizations.
About This Role
Project Management
The Administrative Fellow will facilitate, lead, and manage cross-functional, complex projects as assigned by the senior management team. They will contribute to specific project work by researching and providing information and appropriately utilizing internal and external resources and apply practical applications of academic information learned in graduate studies internship.
Supervision
The Fellow is responsible for assigning tasks and projects to administrative interns based on needs and priorities and provides feedback on intern performance when needed. This position will act as a liaison between the internship coordinator and preceptor and may lead and/or support intern recruitment and mentor interns and supports their professional development.
Reporting and Data Management
The Fellow will prepare and distribute reports with financial and non-financial impacts on projects or business operations and will gain technical skills in leveraging data for data-driven decision making.
Professional Development
The Fellow will plan and/or attend management team, operations, and other meetings necessary to understand current UF COM initiatives, executive-level decision-making, and strategic planning. Under the mentorship and guidance of preceptors and other executive leaders, explores areas of personal interest and will provide and receive feedback in a thorough, constructive, and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Nursing Administration, or an equivalent degree program.
- Prior work experience in healthcare, including internships, and demonstration of leadership through community involvement and professional associations is preferred.
