Provide leadership, management, and oversight for registered student organization support services, advisor resources, and student organization operations.
- Manage the coordination, education, and processing of student organization registration, event permitting, risk management, on-site event management, officer eligibility, space allocations, and related administrative processes.
- Develop and implement training, resources, consultations, and educational opportunities for student organization leaders and advisors related to leadership development, event planning, budgeting, policy interpretation, risk management, and program assessment.
- Serve as a primary resource to student leaders, advisors, and campus partners regarding student organization policies, procedures, systems, and best practices.
- Support the coordination and implementation of student organization management systems, including GatorConnect, and maintain accurate records, resources, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with campus partners, including Event Services, University Police Department, Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, venue managers, and other university departments that support student organization activity.
- Interpret university policies for students and student organizations relating to the management of programs, contracts, safety, liability and risk management, and fiscal management.
Lead, coordinate, and elevate Community and Belonging programs that promote community development, student engagement, involvement, leadership development, and student connection.
- Provide leadership for the planning, implementation, supervision, and assessment of programs within the Community and Belonging portfolio, including but not limited to Speed Friending, individual and group involvement consultations, Break Buddies, MLK campus celebration, Gator Wellness Day, and other emerging initiatives.
- Develop and refine programs that foster meaningful student connection, reduce isolation, support leadership development, and increase student engagement across campus.
- Coordinate program timelines, logistics, budgets, staffing plans, marketing needs, risk considerations, and assessment strategies to ensure high-quality and sustainable program delivery.
- Identify opportunities to create, elevate, and implement new programs that respond to student needs and advance the goals of the Office of Community and Belonging.
- Collaborate with campus departments, student leaders, and community partners to strengthen programmatic efforts and expand student participation.
- Serve as a resource for event planning and management for students, staff, and faculty as needed.
- Assist with budget planning, monitoring, and reporting for events.
- Assist in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships in programming efforts with other UF departments, including academic departments.
Assist with administrative leadership, supervision, assessment, and strategic operations for the Office of Community and Belonging.
- Provide supervision, training, and support for professional staff, graduate assistants, and student employees assigned to student organization support and community programming functions.
- Assist with strategic planning, goal setting, budget planning, financial monitoring, reporting, and resource allocation for assigned programs and services.
- Develop, conduct, and analyze assessment efforts related to student organization services, program effectiveness, student satisfaction, learning outcomes, and emerging student needs.
- Contribute to comprehensive marketing, communication, and outreach strategies that promote student involvement opportunities, programs, services, and resources.
- Stay informed of trends and issues related to student engagement, student organizations, community development, and leadership development; make recommendations for improvements to programs, services, and operational practices.
Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, event support team, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc); and, other duties as assigned.
This position will report to the Director of Community and Belonging and provide reports to Associate Director for Student Organizations. General direction will be rendered through established goals and expectations, on-going input and feedback via regular communication with employee on a daily basis, and regular performance reviews.
