The University of Florida is looking for an Admissions Officer I to support the processing and management of undergraduate, graduate, professional, certificate, online, and distance education applications within the Office of Admissions. In this role, you will review applications and supporting credentials, determine residency classifications for tuition purposes, troubleshoot admissions data across multiple systems, and serve as a primary point of contact for applicants and academic departments.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Application Processing & Review
- Review and process undergraduate, graduate, professional, certificate, online, and distance education applications.
- Evaluate applications and supporting credentials to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Determine residency classifications for tuition purposes in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of admission requirements, degree programs, majors, and applicant types.
- Review and process departmental requests related to application updates.
- Exercise independent judgment to prepare applications for admission decisions.
- Assist in cross-training admissions staff on application processing procedures.
Applicant Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for applicants, academic departments, and campus partners.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, Salesforce, and other communication channels.
- Advise applicants regarding admission requirements and outstanding application materials.
- Support OneStop staff with escalated admissions-related inquiries.
- Participate in call campaigns, Q&A sessions, and other student engagement initiatives.
- Provide high-quality customer service through extensive inbound and outbound communications.
Data Management
- Manage admissions and application data within Slate and Campus Solutions.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve admissions record issues across systems.
- Monitor and support data integration processes between Slate and the student information system.
- Process Salesforce cases and departmental requests related to admissions records.
- Create and maintain organization records and corresponding school data.
- Ensure institutional information remains accurate, current, and synchronized across systems.
Other Duties
- Finalize admitted student applications in preparation for registration.
- Review credentials, manage admissions holds, and evaluate requests for hold deferrals.
- Collaborate with departments and Enrollment Management partners to support operational goals.
- Participate in committees, cross-functional teams, and divisional initiatives.
- Assist with development of reference materials, training resources, and process documentation.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

$43,888 annually
