Job Description:

Bank Reconciliation:

Reviews daily bank reconciliations completed through the system to identify transactions that have not automatically reconciled and researches, matches, and resolves outstanding items to facilitate accurate reconciliation. Records and reconciles external transactions within the bank reconciliation module, performs manual reconciliations for non-module accounts, and clears system-generated activity that does not auto-reconcile. Conducts month-end Book-to-Bank reconciliations to identify and investigate discrepancies between bank accounts and the general ledger while collaborating with departments and Finance and Accounting staff to develop, test, and implement payment methods that reconcile accurately and support financial integrity.

General Ledger Operations:

Manages the review and processing of departmental requests for financial identifiers, including department IDs, payroll combination codes, flex codes, and other ERP-related financial elements. Maintains financial structures and control hierarchies within the ERP system to support accurate reporting and compliance with established controls. Researches general ledger transactions, analyzes fund and account balances for accuracy and material variances, reviews error reports, and partners with departments to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies in a timely manner.

Unclaimed Property:

Monitors the Florida Bureau of Unclaimed Property website for funds owed to the University of Florida and prepares and submits claim documentation to recover identified assets. Maintains detailed records of all claims and requests to ensure proper tracking, prevent duplicate submissions, and support accurate reporting of recovered funds.

Special Projects:

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
