| Job Description: |
The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Manager of Academic Support Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for academic advising, admissions, and student support services. This position plays a key role in promoting student success, supporting enrollment and retention goals, and ensuring an exceptional student experience across nursing programs.
Working collaboratively with the Director of Student Services, the Manager will lead innovative initiatives, supervise advising staff, and help shape policies and processes that support students throughout their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Lead daily operations and long-term planning for academic advising, admissions, and student support services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows that support efficient and student-centered service delivery.
- Monitor key performance indicators and utilize data to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with faculty and administrators to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and applicable regulations.
Academic Advising & Student Support
- Oversee academic advising services across College of Nursing programs.
- Supervise and mentor a team of academic advisors and support staff.
- Address complex student concerns and academic progression issues.
- Foster a supportive and responsive advising environment that promotes student achievement.
Admissions & Recruitment
- Support implementation of admissions strategies in collaboration with faculty and enrollment management partners.
- Manage application review processes, admissions workflows, and communication timelines.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to support enrollment planning and recruitment efforts.
Collaboration & Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of Student Services and internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the College of Nursing on university committees and workgroups focused on student success and academic services.
- Communicate academic policies, procedures, and support resources to students and stakeholders.

| Expected Salary: |
$53,000 - $63,000 annually
|
| Required Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
|
| Preferred: |
- Experience in academic advising, student services, admissions, enrollment management, or higher education administration.
- Experience supervising and developing professional staff.
- Experience with academic activity reporting and student information systems.
- Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and student support programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise student information systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to build effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
