Job Description:

The Division of Enrollment Management is looking for a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II to support student employment and financial aid operations within the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. In this role, you will coordinate student employment programs, assist campus departments and community partners with hiring and payroll processes, administer state and federal student employment funding programs, and ensure compliance with financial aid regulations and institutional policies.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Student Employment Program Administration

  • Coordinate student employment activities for campus departments.
  • Review and process student job postings, appointment changes, payroll issues, and employment-related transactions.
  • Authorize student hires and/or review hiring documentation for compliance and completeness.
  • Review and monitor student eligibility for Federal Work Study and other student employment programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from students and departments regarding employment eligibility, hiring procedures, and program requirements.
  • Manage communications received through the Student Employment team email account and phone line.
  • Correct system data entry errors and maintain accurate employment records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, departments, and campus stakeholders.

Financial Aid Administration & Compliance

  • Coordinate the Florida Work Experience Program (FWEP), including requesting funding, awarding eligible students, and reconciling program accounts.
  • Review student employment distributions and determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
  • Update student records and aid statuses as appropriate.
  • Assist with the processing of transient student applications.
  • Award scholarships and financial aid in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable financial aid policies, regulations, and university procedures.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate funding and reporting.

Community Partnerships & Outreach

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community service agencies participating in student employment programs.
  • Increase agency participation and promote student employment opportunities within the community.
  • Assist agency partners with student recruitment, hiring, payroll, and program administration.
  • Provide guidance on employment procedures, program requirements, and compliance expectations.
  • Represent the office through presentations, outreach activities, and professional development opportunities.

Other Duties

  • Participate in professional development and training activities.
  • Occasionally travel for financial aid presentations and workshops.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Expected Salary:

$47,500 annually

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

  • Student financial aid experience and knowledge of federal regulations as they relate to the Federal Work Study Program
