UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join Customer Experience and Resource Planning, a unit within UFIT.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.
The UFIT Communications Specialist serves as a support position to the UFIT Communications Manager. The Communications Specialist assists with a variety of tasks and projects to disseminate information about UFIT services across a wide number of university constituency groups. This position also supports writing and documentation needs related to UFIT strategic planning or inititiaves. The Communications Specialist may train or mentor student assistants.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Interacting with UFIT unit staff to write articles, create public relations and marketing materials, handle photography needs, support the university’s digital communications footprint, and develop content for use on university websites and social media accounts.
- Reviewing and designing web content using centrally managed university web themes to support UFIT’s digital presence.
- Supporting the planning and organization of UFIT events and activities to support the communications and engagement needs of UFIT.
- Conducting outcomes assessment activities including, but not limited to, developing, and analyzing customer satisfaction surveys, social media analytics and web analytics and compiling reports for use by UFIT staff.
