As an Academic Program Specialist II in the Office of Educational Affairs, your responsibilities span various critical areas, including accreditation support, student assessment, and program evaluation. Reporting to the Associate Director, Program Evaluation and Accreditation, the role manages accreditation documentation and tracking systems, analyzes evaluation and assessment data, and prepares reports and recommendations. The multifaceted role requires advanced critical thinking, and collaboration with faculty and leadership to support continuous program enhancement, compliance, and data-informed educational decision-making. These efforts are instrumental in ensuring the success of the academic programs.
About This Role
Accreditation Support
- Organize and validate accreditation documentation and evidence.
- Build and maintain tracking tools, calendars, repositories, and timelines to support accreditation requirements and documentation needs.
- Gather and verify information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze program evaluation and curriculum-related data to support accreditation and continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor progress on accreditation-related action plans and follow up with responsible individuals or groups.
Program Evaluation
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of student feedback and evaluation data.
- Summarize findings, prepare reports for the Committee on Program Evaluation and Student Assessment (CPESA) and other stakeholders, and provide actionable insights to inform curriculum improvements.
- Create communication tools and coordinate improvement plans with course/clerkship directors and students to support curriculum changes and faculty development initiatives.
- Develop and administer survey and questionnaire tools in Qualtrics to collect program evaluation data.
- Track trends in evaluation data and identify areas requiring additional review or intervention.
Student Assessment
- Support the development, administration, and documentation of student assessments across the medical education and physician assistant programs.
- Maintain assessment records, tracking tools, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional policies.
- Track and manage action plans for curriculum and assessment improvement.
- Collaborate with course and clerkship directors and leadership to create readiness assessments for medical students.
- Assist with compiling, reviewing, and reporting student assessment data to support educational decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of related experience.
- Experience with course management and familiarity with medical courses.
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects while working autonomously.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, evaluation systems, and/or test administration software.
- Competency in data collection, survey administration, descriptive statistical analysis, and report creation using Qualtrics and IBM SPSS.
- Demonstrated proficiency in presenting complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
